    Our organic soft white winter wheat berries have a mild, light taste, and are excellent in breakfast grain bowls, or salad bowls for lunch or dinner. They cook up quicker and milder than red winter wheats.

    NOTE:  Our new lot of organic soft white winter wheat berries have more hulls than the last lot. It is still acceptable to mill on countertop mills or to sprout. Customers may want to pick the hulls out if they use the berries in a salad or soup.

Great for pancakes!

I have been grinding Fredrick for my morning pancakes. I really would like to try making tortillas with it as well. The flavor it gives the pancakes is excellent and it grinds easily. I have not found rocks or chaff in it at all.

Very good

I am new to home milling and baking with whole grains. The soft white wheat (Frederick) tastes good and makes nicely soft biscuits and scones. My whole family likes it. The grain seems very clean. I had seen YouTube’s of people needing to sort through their grain that they had and pull out sticks and debris. I haven’t seen any of that in this from Janie’s Mill. Very high-quality.
