This is exactly what I have been searching for and it got here very fast!!
I remember how my grandma, cook with polenta grits .It's the same yummy taste.
Best polenta I ever made! It cooked up faster than I thought, 1 cup polenta to 4 cups of boiling water w/1 tsp salt. After 5 minutes of stirring I added about 1/2 cup grated Parmesan. I forgot to add butter but didn’t even miss it. I can never go back to store bought!
I've never had grits like this before. As a kid I remember being told to try them on the buffet line. Nasty! Tried instant grits at home a few times and you know how that goes. I got some raw grits from the grocery and it still wasn't my thing. But this? Now I get it. One could survive on and be satisfied by these as a daily meal with some cream or buttermilk, salt and pepper. I'm all in.
Wonderful old fashioned flavor, very nicely "corny". took a bit longer to cook than some storebought grits, but worth every minute. We top them with salt and poached eggs. What a breakfast.
