Our “polenta” or “grits” is ground from the same certified organic golden yellow corn as our cornmeal. We just set the mill stones a little farther apart to get a more granular product. In addition to making polenta or grits, you can use this product to make spoonbread or tamales. It’s also great to use on your pizza stone before putting the dough on it.
No matter how you use it, you’ll get great whole-kernel taste and nutrition. To preserve all of that goodness, keep your cornmeal in the freezer until you’re ready to use it.

I've never had grits like this before. As a kid I remember being told to try them on the buffet line. Nasty! Tried instant grits at home a few times and you know how that goes. I got some raw grits from the grocery and it still wasn't my thing. But this? Now I get it. One could survive on and be satisfied by these as a daily meal with some cream or buttermilk, salt and pepper. I'm all in.
Wonderful old fashioned flavor, very nicely "corny". took a bit longer to cook than some storebought grits, but worth every minute. We top them with salt and poached eggs. What a breakfast.
Delicious, creamy, tasty and just downright perfect. If ever I had to pick a “last meal” these grits with a fried egg, crispy bacon and cool avocado would be it. Absolute perfection.
