    Durum is an ancient wheat that is a close relative of Emmer. It is the “hardest” of the hard red spring wheats, and has a very high protein level and great flavor, whether you mill it into flour, or use our organic whole berries in grain bowls or breakfast bowls.

Your products are outstanding. What mystifies me however is why you continue to package them in anything other than plain brown paper bags which can be composted. Back before plastic became the scourge of our time, everything at the supermarket was packaged in paper bags including flour and sugar. It is the only problem I have with your company which otherwise is great. Farmer Ground Flour in Trumansberg, NY packages all their products in paper bags (Einkorn flour, Cornmeal, Rye flour, Wheat Flour) but they're already ground and I only want to buy the berries which is the only reason I don't buy from them. Thank you.

First Time

This was my first order with them and I overall it was fine. They shipped the grains quickly. My issue is there was A LOT of husk in the grains. I am a little spoiled I guess because the other company I purchase from their grains are 100% clean, they don't carry Durum though and I really wanted to try it.
