Organic Warthog Wheat Berries

The berries are great and they do what they are supposed to do!…my 5 star is for service!!!!✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

The bag was full of perfect wheat berries, no dust or insects. Really good grain for bread. Could not be more pleased with this product and the mill's service. Thank you.

I use a combination of Warthog berries and either soft red or soft white to make cookies and pancakes. This flavor is delicate enough to be used for these types of baked goods, yet deep enough to be interesting. Very happy with all of my berries from Janie's Mill. I just ordered a 25 pound bag of these berries and several others.

Made waffles using these, and my guests could not believe they were whole wheat. Amazing flavor. I cannot stop praising Janies Mill. I am looking forward to my next neatly boxed delivery with the packing note!

I'm not sure if it's this batch, or the characteristics of this wheat, but, it seems on the high end of the moisture line. For those that are new to milling, it makes a wetter dough. But, don't let that stop you from using it. This wheat takes a couple more minutes to develop it's stretch, but, it really shines after the rest period. It seems sticky, but retains it's stretch. For me, I have found it works better for rolls, VS loaves. The loaves tend to dry out very fast and are crumbly. But rolls, it works out perfectly. My family thinks I am making pretzel rolls. 😆 That's what they say it tastes like. Who am I to argue? lol..
